Hyde Park Rose Garden

In the spring 2017 of the Niagara Beautification Commission began working with the City of Niagara Falls to help care for the Hyde Park Rose Garden. We had two goals for the site, the first was to clean it up, plant some new roses bushes and keep the area clean. That goal has been accomplished. The second goal is to work towards restoring the site to its former glory, a much more difficult process. In 2020, the City completed much need major restoration to the pergola which gave the site a huge boost. Restoration of the garden and it’s maintenance will be much more difficult tasks.

Creating awareness and engaging community members is an essential part if this process for both fund raising and maintenance.

NBC members begin our seasonal work sometime in May and continue until mid October. We are on site once or twice per week. The work consists of weeding, trimming, and dead heading.

Please consider joining us on site or becoming involved with restoration process. Stewardship of the garden will require people of varied skill levels and is not just working at the site.
